Issues and Campaigns

We Passionists make the Paschal Mystery the center of our lives.

This entails a loving commitment to follow Jesus Crucified, and a generous resolve to proclaim His Passion and death with faith and love. His Passion and death are no mere historical events. They are ever present realities to people in the world of today, “crucified” as they are by injustice, by the lack of a deep respect for human life, and by a hungry yearning for peace, truth, and the fullness of human existence. - Passionist Constitutions #65

The Passionist JPIC Office promotes and addresses issues of social concern through a number of advocacy projects. We do this by participating in issue campaigns, in coalition with other organizations. The issues we address flow from our Catholic social tradition as well our Passionist spirituality of being present to those who are “crucified” among us.

On the left sidebar we offer the Issues and Campaigns that the Office is engaged in. The Issues section decribe some of the principle issues of social concern that the Office has a position on and we offer resources to educate and advocate on these issues. The Campaigns are collaborative projects on specific areas of social concern where we organize with other faith based institutions in advocating for change.
