John Gonzalez

John Gonzalez is the Executive Director for the North American Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation Office. A graduate from Catholic Theological Union, he has been working with the Passionist community in developing their social justice ministries. His experience includes working as a Chicago community organizer with the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless and a program staff for the 8th Day Center for Justice. Fr. Stephen Dunn, CP

Fr. Stephen Dunn, CP is currently the Provincial Vicar for Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation. Retired now from teaching at St. Michael’s Faculty of Theology in the University of Toronto, he is stationed in Toronto, where the Passionist Community has recently (2006) built North America’s first LEED ‘Gold’ certified ecological church. He was the founding director of the Elliott Allen Institute for Theology and Ecology at St. Michael’s (1991). Hugo Esparza, CP

Hugo Esparza, CP: is the intern for the North American Passionist JPIC Office. Hugo became a vowed member of the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ in January, 2008. He graduated from the University of St. Thomas (Houston, TX) in 2007 with a double-degree in Psychology and Philosophy and is a proud graduate of the Movement Activist Apprenticeship Program (MAAP), established in 1985. This program provides people of color with the opportunity to develop skills and experience in grassroots organizing. Currently, he lives in Chicago, IL where he is working on his M-Div Degree and a Certificate on Spiritual Formation at the Catholic Theological Union. Email: Hugo_passionist@yahoo.com
